Experience
I am a full time professor in a teacher preparation program at a local college. I prepare prospective elementary and secondary teachers to teach science in a ways that will engage all of their future students. Prior to completing my doctorate I taught middle school science for 10 years and served as a district-wide enrichment specialist for four years. I have been teaching in a teacher preparation program for the past 15 years. My specialty is science education. However, I also have expertise in literacy and writing. I can offer support to your or your child in the areas of: general science, biological sciences, writing and reading. Additionally, I was diagnosed with ADD as an adult and have a thorough understanding of the unique characteristics of learners with attentional issues.
