Experience
I have over 7 years experience as a tutor in private and group settings. Students I've worked with have raised their SAT scores by 300+ points, been accepted into top colleges and military academies, earned their GEDs with Honors, raised their grades by at least a letter grade, and more. I love tutoring because I love learning. I believe that listening to students and working with them to circumvent their learning roadblocks I can make learning fun for them too. There is no greater joy then watching the excitement a student feels when they grasp a concept at long last that has been troubling them. Qualifications: I scored a 168 on the LSAT and was an editor on my academic journal in law school. I have also tutored 1L law students in subjects including Criminal Law and Torts. In college I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the national high academic honor society. I was an editor on the campus literary journal, an assistant teacher in a college research and writing course, and tutored other students in art, writing, and environmental studies. As a sophomore I was invited to present my research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research, as a junior I was given the highest academic honor in my competitive study abroad program, and as a senior I was honored by the English faculty with the school's award for excellence in the study of literature. I completed my Honors thesis in literature, and was named to the schools fine art honors society, and the international English honor society. In high school I was a National Merit Competition Commended Student, and scored a 800 in Verbal, a 750 in Writing, and a 680 in Math on the SAT. I was also an AP Scholar.
