Hobbies

I am a fairly reserved, introverted person. I very much so see this as a positive attribute and strength. It allows me to be observant, a keen listener, critical thinker, and also a very patient individual. I currently work at Home Depot as a Millwork Specialist selling windows and doors. I typically work weekends and some evenings during the week. In addition to that, I sometimes pick up odd jobs doing things like landscaping, painting, and other basic home remodeling/ renovations. I typically spend my free time reading, writing, or watching movies. I also enjoy fishing, hiking, and camping in and around the Finger Lakes, the Southern Tier, and the Adirondacks. Throughout my academic career, I have had several teachers and professors that have left significant impressions on me both as a student and as a person. Most, but not all of these have been English teachers which has cultivated my personal interest in studying literature and writing. The one thing that all these teachers have had in common is a passion for what they teach. This passion has inspired and motivated my own academic and creative success in countless ways and I am extremely grateful to these people for imparting this same passion onto me. As a tutor, I hope to do the same in whatever capacity I can.
