Canisius College 2007-2011 B.S. Biochemistry 3.51 GPA; I am currently a 4th year medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. I am going into internal medicine and plan on either doing a fellowship in pulmonology/critical care or working as a hospitalist. I am back in my hometown of Rochester until the middle of January and have significant amount of time off in between residency interviews to tutor.

Medical School Biochemistry TA for Organic Chemistry 2009 I know a lot of students in big auditorium sized classrooms rarely get the attention and help they need. Plus I've had professors that couldn't teach for the life of them and know I would have benefited from one on one time with a tutor. I excel at breaking down the sciences to their basic level and building upon it. This way of teaching facilitates an understanding of the material rather than memorization , which I believe should be the ultimate goal of learning and education.

Hobbies
I lead a rather active life. I try to work out 5 days a week with weights and cardio. I am a big fan of pick up basketball and golfing with friends. I have never tutored before for income, though I did help friends and acquaintances study for their perspective tests and tutored one person for the Organic/Biology section of the MCAT. As aforementioned, I TA'd in Organic Chemistry at my undergrad and really enjoyed it. I try to make the subjects as easy going as possible so that the students don't get overly frustrated. I really like music and have a rather eclectic taste be it rock, hip hop or electronic.
