EducationB.S. Biology, specialization in Cell and Molecular Biology at SUNY Binghamton, 2016
Graduate Student in Immunology, Microbiology, and Virology at the University of Rochester, 2016-present
ExperienceI've tutored Cell Biology and other courses at the collegiate level, been a Teaching Assistant in microbiology research courses, and tutored middle/high school students in math and science. I love to teach! It's very rewarding to help someone else understand something in ways that they didn't before.
Relevant coursework includes microbiology, cell biology, molecular biology, organic chemistry, biochemistry, plant systematics, and several years of laboratory research in microbiology and virology at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
HobbiesWhen the weather's nice, I go hiking in the great parks around Rochester, and have started a small collection of insects as a hobby. I also like to camp if I have a free weekend -- I grew up in the Boy Scouts!
Any other time, I spend my free time playing tabletop games with friends, or maybe challenging them to a round of Mario Kart. If I get people together, I also like to take the chance to cook up a nice meal for everybody.
