I attended State University of New York at Fredonia 2014-2017 Graduated with two degrees, Social Studies Adolescent Education and History Graduated with a 3.8 GPA I earned a 3 on my AP World History exam. I earned a 5 on my AP US History exam.
Experience
I have two years of tutoring experience at Fredonia. I thoroughly enjoyed helping students learn about history and having them understand complex topics and simplifying those topics into easier and relatable ideas. I have provided support with writing essays, providing help in organizing students' writing. I also have three years of field experience. I assisted in classroom management, academic support as well as tutor one on one with a student. I tutored in writing, helping the student achieve in organizing and structuring their thoughts into a clear and concise sentences. I student taught in a middle school where I taught the Colonial Era for 7th grade and the Civil War through the Industrial Revolution for 8th grade. I also student taught at a high school where I taught AP US History and Economics for 11th and 12th graders. There I gave tests, homework assignments as well as projects for my students. I want to be a tutor/teacher so that I can help children and students succeed in their lives. Nothing is more rewarding than having a student find success. I was a freelance journalist for World War II magazines where I interviewed several veterans about their experiences and am working on getting those articles published.
