Experience
I am currently an elementary teacher in a local school district with eight years of teaching experience. I enjoy working with students to help them meet their full potential as a learner, and I am able to utilize traditional and technological resources to assist your child. I am available to assist with more than just homework. I can provide targeted instruction based on your child's needs. I offer a free first tutoring session where I meet with the parents or guardians to introduce myself and review your goals for your student. If I can be of any assistance meeting those goals, I can lay out my initial strategy for helping your child experience success.

Hobbies
I love to teach, and I love to learn. I think the creative process is one that requires constant work and ideas can come from multiple avenues. I am constantly reading children's fiction books, professional development books, and nonfiction books with topics that interest me. I have many hobbies that I am involved in. I am currently interested in exploring doodling and artistic expression. My art skills aren't that great, but I've been able to incorporate art in my classroom with success. I am also interested in puppetry, juggling, Lego, origami, project design, creative writing, and experiments that make science accessible to children. I am also interested in magic. I make no claims about being good at it, but I find it very relaxing. I also am able to introduce your student to some simple effects that will help him or her gain confidence interacting with peers.
