After graduating in May 2008 from Rice University in Houston, TX, John joined the consultancy Accenture, where he was a Strategy Business Analyst at Accenture's Manhattan location, serving clients in the Communications and High Tech practice. He then relocated to Washington, DC, serving clients in the Health and Public Service Practice at Accenture's Reston, VA location. After being promoted to the Strategy Consultant level, he was granted a role in Accenture Development Partnerships, serving four months on a health and nutrition project in both Kenya and Amsterdam, Netherlands. In July 2011, he left Accenture for non-governmental organization IntraHealth, where he served as their first Business Analyst through non-profit ProInspire's 2011 Inspire Fellowship.
